Dr. Mark Whiting
A native of Traverse City, Dr. Mark Whiting graduated from Traverse City Central High School in 1980, after which he attended Hope College as a member of the track and field team, majoring in Biology. His education took him west where he finished his undergraduate degree at the University of Oregon before receiving his Doctorate of Medical Dentistry at Oregon Health and Science University, in Portland Oregon.
Returning to Northern Michigan in 1988 Dr. Whiting married his wife Beth and established practices in Fife Lake and Traverse City. Together they raised five active children, enjoying family ski trips, water sports, and spending time in nature.
Dr. Whiting can be found cross country skiing on the Vasa, cycling back roads in Williamsburg, and sailing the waters of beautiful East Bay. Devoted to a healthy lifestyle and family, Dr. Mark is a real “ fun guy”. Whiting has been serving patients in Grand Traverse County for over 30 years.
